Unfrozen’s CEO, Denis Fyodorov, revealed that some players have logged more than 200 hours in the demo build.
It’s remarkable — the procedural map generator delivers almost endless replayability. You can spend dozens or even hundreds of hours exploring different layouts and it won’t feel repetitive.
Fyodorov added that the multiplayer is built on the same system.
Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era preserves the franchise’s core features: commanding a hero from one of six factions, exploring fantasy regions, recruiting armies of mythical creatures, and advancing your character.
This is the first main entry in ten years and marks the series’ debut with developer Hooded Horse. The game is slated to launch in time for the 30th anniversary of the original Heroes of Might and Magic.
Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era proved popular at October’s Steam Next Fest — publisher Ubisoft reported that the title has been added to more than one million wishlists.
