Hazbin Hotel creator Vivziepop: fans’ Season 2 bingo cards are about to pay off

Season 2 of Vivienne Medrano’s adult animated musical Hazbin Hotel arrives on Prime Video this week, and speculation among fans has been intense. The first season established a sprawling ensemble of characters inhabiting Hell and Heaven, framed by rivalries, musical set pieces, and tender-but-turbulent relationships that naturally inspire fan theories and wish lists.

Common questions circulating in the fandom include: will Angel Dust escape Valentino’s control? Will Alastor the Radio Demon’s mysterious “deal” be revealed? And which romantic arcs will finally advance? The community’s hopes run the gamut, but these threads keep reappearing in conversations and fan creations alike.

“Obviously, I don’t make the show with fan service specifically in mind,” Medrano — also known online as Vivziepop — told Polygon earlier this year. “But I feel like me being a fan of my own show [means] there’s a lot of it inherently. I also want to see these things, and I want some of these things to happen, and obviously some of these things are meant to happen in the show!”

Medrano has mapped out a long-term arc for Hazbin Hotel that spans five seasons. Prime Video and A24 have already greenlit seasons 3 and 4, which suggests some narrative payoffs may be years away — though Medrano warns that season 2 moves quickly and delivers more than many viewers expect.

“I feel like people are going to get a lot out of it,” she says. “We get some firsts. I think we get some really amazing reveals, some really cool backstories, and even just simple things, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] We’re going to hear much more singing from the characters we didn’t get to hear before.”

She’s well aware of the theories and wish lists — including bingo-card style predictions — that fans have been sharing online. “I’ve seen a couple people make a bingo card about season 2,” she notes. “I actually did some of them, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. There are multiple potential bingos on those cards, which makes me really happy.”

Hazbin Hotel season 2 premieres on Prime Video on October 29, 2025.
