HBO Max has unveiled the debut trailer for its upcoming television adaptation of the iconic Harry Potter series. The inaugural season, chronicling the events of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, is scheduled to premiere on December 25, 2026.
The ensemble features Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter, Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger, and Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley. The supporting cast includes John Lithgow as Albus Dumbledore, Janet McTeer as Professor McGonagall, Nick Frost as Rubeus Hagrid, Paapa Essiedu as Severus Snape, Johnny Flynn as Lucius Malfoy, and Lox Pratt as Draco Malfoy.
The series is being developed by Francesca Gardiner and Mark Mylod, both acclaimed for their work on the award-winning drama Succession.
