Bandai Namco has officially taken the wraps off Gundam Rogue Orbit, a high-octane third-person mecha action title slated for release next year. Unveiled during the latest Summer Game Fest showcase, the game tasks players with constructing and personalizing their own unique mobile suits to dominate the battlefield through a blend of ranged gunplay and brutal melee encounters across diverse orbital and terrestrial environments.
The developers are positioning the title as a “high-mobility action experience” that fuses cinematic storytelling with visceral, impactful combat mechanics. Notably, the game is set within an entirely original Gundam timeline, free from the constraints of existing series lore. According to Bandai Namco, this fresh setting makes Gundam Rogue Orbit both a welcoming entry point for newcomers and a compelling, evolved challenge for long-time franchise enthusiasts.

Gundam Rogue Orbit is currently in development for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, with a scheduled launch window in 2027.
