GTA 6’s Rumored Lucia Actor Breaks Silence With Rare Live Appearance

Rockstar Games hasn’t officially announced who is in the cast of Grand Theft Auto 6. Even so, fans believe they’ve already worked out the identities behind a few of its leading roles. For years, the GTA 6 community has been sure that actor and weightlifter Manni Perez is the face model for co-protagonist Lucia Caminos. Some of those fans pursued Perez so relentlessly that the 34-year-old deleted her social media accounts in mid-2025. Now, only weeks before GTA 6 launches, she has returned to the spotlight on her own terms and cleared up a few rumors.

Those rumors have nothing to do with GTA 6. Her silence on the game is the very thing that makes her reappearance so striking. Perez described her 11-minute live stream as a chance for followers to get to know her better. She answered a handful of questions in real time and explained why she rarely appears online. By her own account, she’s a deep introvert. Even a brief but intense conversation can leave her wanting to avoid people for a week. She said it as a joke, but the point was sincere: she values her privacy.

“I’m not a fan of social media, but for the work that I do, unfortunately, we need it,” Perez said.

She later explained why she shares so few photos and videos of her work: “I also don’t feel like I’m photogenic, I don’t like to show my face.”

Manni Perez Talks About Life Before GTA 6

Thousands of comments flooded the stream demanding to hear about Lucia and GTA 6. Perez somehow got through the whole session without mentioning either. Her refusal to say “GTA 6” even once, even as a joke, only convinced fans further that she’s tied to the project. Maybe years of constant badgering have left her tired of the subject. A likelier explanation is that she’s bound by a non-disclosure agreement that stops her from discussing the game until Rockstar makes its own announcement. Viewers also struggled to reconcile her dislike of the internet with a live stream in which she ignored most of the comments. Some wondered whether she’s quietly building up her online presence ahead of the game’s release.

Whatever the reason, Perez used the start of the stream to push back against an assumption she says people keep making about her.

“I am not rich, people,” Perez declared. “I ain’t no millionaire … I’m a regular person. I still do my own food shopping. I still do my own cooking, I do my own cleaning. I do my own laundry. I drive a small, used sedan.”

Perez said she grew up in a “rednecky hick town.” Her lower-middle-class family was strict about never running the air conditioning or the heat. Her family is in a more comfortable position today, but she still remembers a childhood when meat was out of reach. “It was scrambled eggs, white rice, and ketchup,” she said. “Or black beans, tomato slices, and ketchup. And that’s what was eaten for a long time.”

She also shared some lighter details, including her love of the color green and her hope that her next vehicle will be a truck. Most of all, she wanted fans to know that she may be hard to find online, but she is far from idle.

“I am out and about regularly—like, I do stuff, and things,” Perez said with a sly smile. She didn’t say what that stuff might be, but fans have a strong suspicion.

Grand Theft Auto 6 launches on Nov. 19 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
