A Mini-Interview With the Artists
The French duo Justice appeared briefly on BBC Radio 1, where they listened back to the track and talked about it.
- Tame Impala, SZA, and King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard were artists Xavier and Gaspard had always wanted to work with. They never expected to bring all of them together on a single collaboration.
- Each of the four acts contributed their own “secret ingredient”.
- The sound has an ‘80s feel and still comes across as futuristic.
- No guitar could produce the sound they achieved, which comes from a synthesizer.
- The artists were aware of the buzz surrounding Grand Theft Auto VI. They could see the “colossus approaching” but tried to keep some distance so the hype would not influence them.
