‘Gorynych’ Earned One Billion Rubles at the Russian Box Office

The fantasy blockbuster “Gorynych,” led by Alexander Petrov, has collected one billion rubles at the Russian box office, according to EAIS figures.

The picture opened on October 23 and reached the billion‑ruble mark on its twelfth day in release. The plot follows bathyscaphe pilot Aleksey Alyokhin (Petrov), who descends to the bottom of the Baltic Sea and discovers a small dragon named Gorynych. He must assist the creature in defending an ancient principality from hostile forces.

Directed by Dmitry Khonin (director of “Oxygen”), the supporting ensemble features Sergey Makovetsky, Viktoriya Agalakova, Aleksey Filimonov, Roman Kurtsyn, Alexander Robak and others.
