Takashi Yamazaki, the visionary Japanese filmmaker behind Godzilla Minus One, is currently developing his first English-language feature. The project, titled Nue, is described as an original epic being produced for 20th Century Studios.
While specific plot details remain under wraps, the film will be produced by legendary director Ridley Scott (Alien) through his company, Scott Free Productions.
Released in 2023, Godzilla Minus One captivated audiences with its harrowing depiction of a monstrous assault on post-war Japan. The film became a runaway global sensation, grossing over $100 million at the box office and securing an Academy Award for Best Visual Effects.
A follow-up to the hit film, titled Godzilla Minus Zero, is scheduled for an international theatrical release on November 6.
