Ghoul Fright enters Steam Early Access with four-player physics-based combat
Atrax has released Ghoul Fright in Steam Early Access. The first-person survival brawler launched on September 21, combining cartoon horror with physical combat and online co-op for up to four players.
Players fight escalating waves of ghouls using punches, grabs and objects from the environment. Destructible scenery, ragdolls and parries make positioning and improvised attacks part of each encounter.
The current version includes talent trees, character skills and progression alongside solo play. Teammates can revive one another, while nearby objects can become weapons during a fight.
Atrax plans to use Early Access feedback to adjust combat, enemy behaviour and co-op difficulty, then expand the selection of maps, enemies and other content. Atrax expects Early Access to last around six months or less but has not set a firm full-release date.
