Ghost of Yotei Reportedly Preparing Large DLC with New Story and Most Wanted Mode

Ghost of Yotei is getting a major story expansion titled Echoes of Sekigahara, featuring a new storyline, a new region, a Most Wanted mode, and the return of Jin Sakai.

Following its traditional release schedule about a year after the main game, Sucker Punch will release the story DLC. Echoes of Sekigahara will introduce new characters, locations, and a narrative connected to Atsu’s past.

One of the main additions will be the Most Wanted mode. In it, players will hunt down the most dangerous opponents as Atsu, Nagato, or Oyuki. The mode will also feature Jin Sakai, the protagonist of Ghost of Tsushima.

The expansion’s events will unfold in a new valley within the Ezo region. Atsu will face a massive army, and the Battle of Sekigahara will form an important part of the story. The plot will reveal more details about the mysterious Serpent, the first enemy from the prologue.

Heavy weapons and new types of armored enemies will be added to the game. A dynamic roguelite-style survival mode featuring waves of enemies and rewards will also be included. Echoes of Sekigahara is scheduled for release in early October.
