Oscar winner George Clooney and Academy Award nominee Annette Bening (American Beauty) will lead the new project In Love, Deadline reports.
The film is adapted from the memoir of the same name by writer Amy Bloom. It follows a couple confronting the husband’s Alzheimer’s diagnosis; the partners face a succession of trials that test—and ultimately underscore—the enduring strength of their love.
Paul Weitz (About a Boy, Little Fockers) will direct and co-write the screenplay. A precise release date has not yet been announced. Clooney also stars in the Netflix film Jay K., slated for release in December.
