Gaten Matarazzo Appears on Shelf Quest Episode 3
Child actors either get unlimited screen time or none at all. Gaten Matarazzo grew up in a household where everything from Call of Duty to Cartoon Network was forbidden, so he snuck video games where he could.
That started to change when he landed the role of Dustin Henderson on the Netflix series Stranger Things. Gaten broadened his horizons with The Legend of Zelda, Spider-Man, and Uncharted. He reveals his underrated first Zelda game and what he considers “the best video game experience that I’ve ever had.”
Now that Stranger Things has wrapped, Gaten has been teeing up his next project. Pizza Movie, from directors Nick Kocher and Brian McElhaney (also known as the YouTube sketch comedy duo BriTANick), is his first film to be released since the finale of Stranger Things aired in December 2025. It is streaming now on Hulu and Disney Plus.
