Gaming Monitor Prices to Rise as Manufacturers Struggle with Costs
Gaming monitors are set to become more expensive as hardware manufacturers KTC and AOC warn of impending price hikes driven by rising component costs and memory shortages.
KTC, which accounts for roughly 17% of the global Mini-LED monitor market, stated that it can no longer absorb the escalating production expenses on its own.
Due to the ongoing rise in global prices for key components, the cost of manufacturing monitors has increased significantly, and we can no longer bear this pressure on our own.
KTC is currently negotiating with suppliers, leaving specific affected models and exact timelines unannounced for now. Even so, the company advised shoppers planning a monitor purchase in the near future not to delay.

AOC has already alerted distributors about price adjustments beginning in August. The brand cited higher costs for display panels, internal components, power electronics, and general manufacturing.
These rising costs stem from DRAM and NAND flash shortages caused by intense demand from artificial intelligence infrastructure. That shortage has already driven up prices for system RAM, SSDs, and other consumer electronics, and it has now reached the monitor market.
