Games Workshop Unveils Warhammer Necromunda Cargo-8 Ridgehauler Conversions
Games Workshop has showcased custom conversions of the Cargo-8 Ridgehauler off-road transports for the tabletop game Warhammer 40,000: Necromunda, designed for journeys into the Great Equatorial Wastelands and other hazardous locations.
Members of the Warhammer Design Studio, the internal creative department at Games Workshop, decided to show fans of the tabletop game Necromunda their custom conversions of the Cargo-8 Ridgehauler off-road transports.

Vehicles like these are ideally suited for navigating dunes thanks to massive wheels and robust engines, towing trailers with armored containers and transport cars across the Great Equatorial Wastelands. Very little effort is required to turn them into mobile fortresses ready to fend off ambushes and gang raids.

Lucy placed the wreckage of an Arvus Lighter shuttle on her transport and installed a bulldozer blade from a Goliath Rockgrinder truck on the front. Graham modified a Munitorum armored container to resemble a modern police paddy wagon. The main cab was slightly altered to match the armor of the Enforcers and their loyal cyber-mastiff, which takes a prominent place with its head out the window.

Paul added several trailers to the Cargo-8 and filed down the tread on all 32 wheels so that every single one matched in height.

Dean decided to go all out. For his conversion, he used the Galvanic Servohaulers scenery kit, which consists of two haulers and an imposing crane. Dean also covered the truck cabs with plasticard and wire mesh to give the models a much heavier appearance.
