Gameplay Footage of PlayStation Multiplayer Shooter Fairgame$ Leaks Online

Developers are currently testing a project under the codename Project Espresso.

A closed playtest page for the extraction shooter Project Espresso has appeared on the Player.gg platform. Based on available information, this codename refers to the extraction shooter Fairgame$, which is being developed by Haven Studios, a subsidiary of Sony Interactive Entertainment.

SIE has not yet disclosed details regarding the current status of Fairgame$. At the same time, recently discovered trademarks and social media registrations have hinted at a potential rebranding of the game to Break In, though there is no official confirmation of this yet.

A match in Project Espresso is divided into several key stages. First, the team needs to find the vault code, gain access to the safe, collect money, and upgrade character skills to shape their own playstyle.

Next begins the actual vault break-in phase. Teams must manage to take the cargo inside while simultaneously watching out for enemies who may set up an ambush and attempt to intercept the loot.

Finally, the cargo must be delivered to the extraction point. Players call in transport using a special device, though failing extraction does not necessarily mean the end of the match: the team can use another exit and try to escape via an alternative route.

Commentators on X and Reddit are speaking very negatively about Project Espresso. People are criticizing the project for its lack of innovation and similarity to other extraction shooters. Some are even joking that Sony severed ties with Hideo Kojima for this game.
