Retro gaming enthusiasts and portable tech fans can now get their hands on the GameMT EX8, a new handheld boasting 6GB of RAM, a 4.8-inch 1080p FHD display, and a substantial 5000mAh battery.
GameMT, the manufacturer previously known for the PSK 5000 (also marketed as the EX5)—a handheld famous for its idiosyncratic physical toggle—has unveiled the EX8, featuring a more industrial, angular design language.
The base configuration is currently available for $139.99. Users looking for more storage can opt for the 64GB expansion bundle for $149.99 or the 128GB version for $164.99. The device is offered in two colorways: classic white and onyx black.
Specifications include a premium glass front panel and LED-backlit analog sticks. The 4.8-inch FHD screen uses a 3:2 aspect ratio (1620×1080 resolution), supports a 60Hz refresh rate, and reaches a peak brightness of 520 nits. Internally, the console is powered by the MediaTek Helio G99 chipset and a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU, supported by 6GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage.
In terms of features, the GameMT EX8 includes dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz / 5 GHz), Bluetooth 5.2, and twin stereo speakers. The Android-based system is cooled by an active high-speed fan and an enlarged air intake. It also features a linear vibration motor and a 6-axis gyroscope for precise motion controls.
Connectivity is handled by a USB-C 4.0 port, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a TF card slot with Micro SD 4.0 support. The entire unit weighs roughly 290 grams. Early media includes an unboxing video, a multi-angle showcase, Marvel Cosmic Invasion gameplay, and a comprehensive hardware review.
