Whether you’re navigating bustling interstates, watching the sunset over a quiet countryside, or pushing through the solitude of a late-night haul, the right soundtrack defines the journey. With Game Radio, we have moved far beyond a standard media player to create a deeply immersive audio ecosystem.
Game Radio is designed to elevate your roleplay experience and bring an authentic pulse to your cabin. Rather than treating radio as a mere utility, we have curated a suite of stations—each with its own distinct personality and atmosphere. This marks the debut of Game Radio, with a foundation built on high-quality music and a roadmap for even more expansive features in the future.
At launch, you can tune into five distinct radio stations:
Rust FM
A haven for guitar enthusiasts, Rust FM spans five decades of rock—from psychedelic 60s garage classics to cutting-edge indie. Expect raw riffs, gritty distortion, and high-octane live energy. Highlights include Domino Records artists like Sorry, SASAMI, and the underground cult favorites Holiday Ghosts.
Escape
When the road gets long and your nerves are frayed, Escape provides the perfect sanctuary. Featuring lo-fi textures, mellow jazz chords, and minimalist beats, this station is tailored for peaceful night drives. Crucially, Escape includes StreamBeats by Harris Heller, a dedicated stream-safe library that allows content creators to broadcast without the stress of copyright strikes. Enable “Streamer Mode” via the game menu to enjoy this library safely.
PUMP IT!
Transform your cockpit into a high-energy dance floor. PUMP IT! is powered by infectious, pulse-pounding electronic production. Featuring world-class talent like the remix master Tony Romera and the experimental duo KIDSØ, this station is built for those who want to feel the rhythm of the drive.
Pop Gear
Driven by addictive hooks and emotional highs, Pop Gear is the ultimate soundtrack for those who crave modern pop perfection. It features the “darkly intoxicating” sound of Palace Winter and the versatile, synth-infused arrangements of School of X.
Roadio
Immerse yourself in the authentic spirit of American roots music. Roadio is the ideal companion for long-haul desert drives and reflective journeys. The lineup includes legendary indie-folk voice Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy, the acclaimed songwriter Thomm Jutz, and the soulful melodies of Amber Lynn Nicol.
Every track was hand-selected to ensure longevity, featuring artists from iconic labels like Domino Recording Company, Drag City, and Ninja Tune.
Elevating Your In-Game Experience
Game Radio complements our existing Online Radio and Music Player systems while introducing a refined, intuitive interface. A new Audio Player widget displays real-time track info—including the station name, artist, song title, and a dynamic audio visualization—right above your navigation screen. You can fully customize this widget’s visibility in the F6 menu.
Support for Community Creators
Creativity is at the heart of our community. We are excited to announce that modders will be able to craft their own custom radio stations, allowing players to share and integrate their preferred music collections seamlessly into the Game Radio interface.
