Five New Cast Members Join Far Cry Series
Stars of The Banshees of Inisherin, The Hateful Eight, Midnight Mass, and more have joined the project.
Disney+ has announced new cast members for the Far Cry series. Brendan Gleeson, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Hamish Linklater, Sam Spruell, and Jamie Demetriou will appear in the first season of the adaptation.
Gleeson is known for In Bruges and The Banshees of Inisherin, Leigh starred in The Hateful Eight and the fifth season of Fargo, and Linklater played the lead role in Midnight Mass. Spruell recently appeared in A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, while Demetriou acted in Barbie and the series The Afterparty.
The newcomers join previously announced cast members Steve Buscemi, Lizzy Caplan, and Rob McElhenney. McElhenney is also creating the adaptation alongside Noah Hawley, the creator of Fargo and Alien: Earth.
Far Cry will follow an anthology format, giving each season a distinct story, new characters, and a new setting, much like Ubisoft’s video game series of the same name. Plot details for the first season remain under wraps, but filming has already begun.
A release date has not been announced yet.
