HBO has unveiled a first-look image from its highly anticipated television adaptation of Harry Potter, which is currently slated for a 2027 premiere.
The inaugural season will draw inspiration from Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. The ensemble cast features Dominic McLaughlin as Harry, Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger, and Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley. They are joined by a distinguished supporting cast including John Lithgow (Dumbledore), Janet McTeer (McGonagall), Nick Frost (Hagrid), Paapa Essiedu (Snape), Johnny Flynn (Lucius Malfoy), and Lox Pratt (Draco Malfoy), among others.
The series is being spearheaded by showrunners Francesca Gardiner and Mark Mylod, both acclaimed for their work on Succession. While the launch year is confirmed, a specific release date has yet to be finalized.
