First Look at Characters Revealed in Upcoming Street Fighter Movie
Street Fighter returns to the big screen in live-action form this fall after a 17-year hiatus. Capcom and Legendary adapted the nearly 40-year-old franchise with a more Blanka-packed approach. An exclusive look at Street Fighter reveals how battered and bruised the heroes look after competing in Bison’s bloodsport, offering an unglamorous view of protagonists Chun-Li, Ryu, Ken, and Dan.
Director Kitao Sakurai leaned into the spirit of the video games, evoking the post-match win screens from early arcade games. The movie includes fan-focused Easter eggs alongside these battle-damaged fighters.
What is Street Fighter about?
The Street Fighter movie is set in 1993, the year Super Street Fighter 2 debuted in arcades. It focuses on estranged martial artists Ryu, played by Andrew Koji, and Ken Masters, played by Noah Centineo, who have a big beef. They reunite after Chun-Li, played by Callina Liang, recruits them to compete in the World Warrior Tournament, which masks a deadly conspiracy.

The cast features Andrew Koji as Ryu, Noah Centineo as Ken Masters, and Callina Liang as Chun-Li. Joe “Roman Reigns” Anoa’i plays Akuma, David Dastmalchian plays M. Bison, Cody Rhodes plays Guile, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson plays Balrog, Jason Momoa plays Blanka, Vidyut Jammwal plays Dhalsim, Mel Jarnson as Cammy, Orville Peck as Vega, Olivier Richters as Zangief, Hirooki Goto as E. Honda, Andrew Schulz as Dan Hibiki, Eric André as Don Sauvage, Rayna Vallandingham as Juli, Alexander Volkanovski as Joe, and Kyle Mooney as Marvin.
When does the Street Fighter movie come out?

Street Fighter arrives in movie theaters on Oct. 16. The production was filmed for and will be screened in IMAX.

Legendary’s Paramount distributes the first live-action Street Fighter film since 2009’s Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li, which followed the original 1994 live-action adaptation.
