Reports have appeared online that production on the third season of ‘House of the Dragon’ has concluded.
The series, a prequel to ‘Game of Thrones’, chronicles members of House Targaryen as they vie for the Iron Throne. The cast includes Matt Smith, Emma D’Arcy, Olivia Cooke, and others.
The show was developed by Ryan Condal (Rampage) alongside George R.R. Martin, creator of ‘A Song of Ice and Fire’. It premiered on HBO in 2022, with its second season arriving in 2024.
HBO programming chief Casey Bloys previously said new episodes are not expected before summer 2026; an exact release date has yet to be announced. ‘House of the Dragon’ is officially set to conclude with a fourth season.
