Principal photography has officially commenced in Thailand for the upcoming feature John Rambo. The project serves as a definitive prequel to the iconic action masterpiece First Blood, which famously starred Sylvester Stallone.
Stepping into the boots of the legendary protagonist is Noah Centineo (Black Adam). The narrative is set to explore Rambo’s formative and harrowing experiences during the Vietnam War era.
The production features an ensemble cast including Yao, Quincy Isaiah, Jefferson White, Jason Tobin, and Taime Tapthimthong. At the helm is director Jalmari Helander, acclaimed for his work on Sisu. While Lionsgate is set to handle distribution, an official theatrical release date has yet to be announced.
Accompanying the start of production, the first promotional poster for the prequel has also been unveiled.
