Filming of “Little Mook” starring Pavel Derevyanko has begun

Filming has officially commenced in Moscow for a new cinematic adaptation of the classic oriental tale “Little Mook,” with a theatrical release slated for the spring of 2028.

The ensemble cast features Artyom Koshman, Polina Gukhman, and Pavel Derevyanko, among others. The project is being helmed by director Andrey Shavkero, known for his work on Yolki 5 and State Protection. The narrative follows the young protagonist as he embarks on a quest to rescue his father from imprisonment. Along the journey to the capital, he stumbles upon a pair of enchanted slippers. Shortly after, Mook secures a position as a royal courier for the treacherous Vizier, only to uncover a sinister conspiracy lurking within the palace walls.

Following the initial shoot in Moscow, the production team will relocate to Morocco, which will serve as the primary filming location. The film is a collaborative effort between CTB Film Company, Central Partnership, 1-2-3 Production, M5 Production, and the TV channel TNT.
