Filming has begun for the series “Eavesdropped in Vyborg”
Streaming platforms PREMIER and START have officially announced the start of production for the follow-up to “Eavesdropping in Rybinsk,” now titled “Eavesdropping in Vyborg.”
The story shifts its setting to Vyborg in the Leningrad Region. The narrative follows Vitalik, an unassuming postal worker who inadvertently witnesses a bizarre incident, thrusting him into a high-stakes struggle over a billion-ruble fortune. He is joined by familiar faces from the first season: investigators Zoya (Yulia Khlynina) and Bayan (Mikhail Kremer).
This installment of the darkly comedic detective series also features performances by Artyom Bystrov, Stepan Devonin, Olga Vinichenko, Nikolai Schreiber, and others. Director Pyotr Todorovsky is set to helm all eight episodes. An official release date will be disclosed at a later time.
The original series, “Eavesdropping in Rybinsk,” premiered in 2025. It chronicled the exploits of Yuri, an alcoholic journalist investigating the murder of an actress in a small provincial town. The show garnered critical acclaim and rapidly became a fan favorite.
