Filming for “Univer. 17 Years Later” series has begun

The TNT network and the creative team behind the “Univer” franchise have officially kicked off production on the highly anticipated new series, “Univer. 17 Years Later.” Accompanying the announcement are the first behind-the-scenes glimpses, showcasing both beloved characters and fresh, reimagined sets for the upcoming project.

This new chapter picks up the narrative thread nearly two decades after the events of the original series.

The plot explores a fresh phase in the relationship between Varya and Michael as they move into their own home, adjusting to domestic life far from the hustle and bustle of the city. Significant challenges lie ahead for Valentin, who must navigate the onset of vision loss—a storyline set to be a focal point of the series’ dramatic tension.

Producers are also placing special emphasis on the evolving dynamic between Kuzy and Alla, as their relationship reaches a pivotal turning point.

The ensemble cast sees the return of Stas Yarushin, Maria Kozhevnikova, Vitaly Gogunsky, Anna Khilkevich, Ararat Keshchyan, Nastasya Samburskaya, and other familiar faces.

A release date for “Univer. 17 Years Later” has not yet been announced.
