Production for the highly anticipated second season of Alien: Earth has officially commenced in London, according to reports from Variety.
The ensemble cast is expanding with the addition of Tracey Ullman (Mrs. America), Sam Spruell (A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms), and Jerome Flynn (Game of Thrones). They join fellow Game of Thrones alumnus Peter Dinklage, who was previously confirmed for the new season.
Serving as a prequel to Ridley Scott’s iconic 1979 film, Alien: Earth is set in the year 2120, roughly two years prior to the events of the original movie. The narrative explores a group of androids possessing the consciousness of children who find themselves caught in a terrifying first encounter with xenomorphs. The series features performances by Sydney Chandler, Timothy Olyphant, Essie Davis, and others.
The show is helmed by Noah Hawley, the creative force behind Fargo and Legion, with Ridley Scott serving as an executive producer. Alien: Earth premiered on FX and Hulu in August 2025, earning widespread critical acclaim and four Emmy nominations.
