Fatal Frame 2: Crimson Butterfly horror remake gets new trailer and release date

The remake of the horror title FATAL FRAME 2: Crimson Butterfly is scheduled for release on March 12, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, and PC via Steam. Koei Tecmo announced this during the recent State of Play showcase and premiered a new trailer for the project.
A full remake of the second entry in the FATAL FRAME (PROJECT ZERO) series, titled FATAL FRAME / PROJECT ZERO II: Crimson Butterfly. This Japanese-styled survival horror adventure follows twin sisters who become lost in an abandoned village haunted by vengeful spirits. Armed with the Camera Obscura — a device capable of capturing and sealing the supernatural — they fight to survive against the ghosts.
