The Great Divide, the latest studio effort from singer-songwriter Noah Kahan, has officially captured the top spot in this week’s fan-voted new music poll.
Following a lively reader survey conducted this past Friday, music fans have overwhelmingly crowned the Vermont native’s newest record as their favorite release of the week. Kahan’s latest project surged ahead, securing 60% of the total vote by the time the poll concluded on Sunday, successfully outpacing a competitive field of new releases from Kehlani, Hayley Kiyoko, Gigi Perez, and Suki Waterhouse.

Marking a significant milestone four years after his breakthrough success with Stick Season, Kahan’s 17-track collection hit streaming platforms this Friday. The album is anchored by its powerful title track, “The Great Divide,” which remains the artist’s highest-charting entry to date, having peaked at No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100 earlier this February.
To craft this soundscape, Kahan teamed up with producers Gabe Simon and Aaron Dessner. Much of the recording took place at Dessner’s renowned Long Pond Studio, tucked away in the scenic surroundings of upstate New York.
Beyond the studio, excitement is mounting for Kahan’s upcoming world tour. The trek is scheduled to commence on June 11 in Orlando, Florida, with an extensive run of North American dates followed by stops in Australia, New Zealand, and eventually Europe.
Rounding out the results of this week’s reader poll, Kehlani’s self-titled project claimed 17% of the vote, followed by the collaborative effort “Collide” from Hayley Kiyoko and Gigi Perez at 4%, and Suki Waterhouse’s latest single, “Tiny Raisin,” at 2%.
