Famous Street Fighter Heroine to Be Added to Fatal Fury
The fighting game market is enjoying a resurgence. New entries in Tekken and Street Fighter, together with the revival of SNK’s classic franchises, have made the genre more popular than it has been in years.
In spring 2025 SNK revived the Fatal Fury series, which had not seen a new installment in over two decades. The launch of Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves proved the studio can still produce fresh, ambitious titles, rather than only continuing The King of Fighters and Samurai Shodown. Six months later, the developers introduced a new combatant.
Chun‑Li from Street Fighter will join the roster. Her appearance won’t be limited to a guest DLC — players will be offered a standalone RPG-style story mode in which she pursues deeper mastery of kung fu. According to SNK and Capcom, the focus is as much on fan service as it is on gameplay.
The expansion is scheduled for release this winter.
