Famitsu Names Must-Play Nintendo Switch 2 Games for 2026
The renowned Japanese publication Famitsu has curated a definitive list of essential titles for the Nintendo Switch and its successor arriving in 2026, spotlighting the most significant projects and platform exclusives.
Among the highlights is Pokémon Pokopia—a compelling fusion of traditional Pokémon mechanics and Animal Crossing’s social simulation, which is already being positioned as a potential chart-topper for the year.
Another highly anticipated exclusive, Fire Emblem Fortune’s Weave, aims to further the tactical RPG’s global momentum. Following the massive success of previous entries and a strong mobile presence, this new installment seeks to build upon the legacy of Fire Emblem: Three Houses, currently the franchise’s most successful title.
Both Switch iterations will also host a diverse array of third-party content, including major “day-one” launches like Capcom’s Pragmata. Developers at Capcom have noted that the upgraded hardware allows them to execute their creative visions with a much higher degree of technical sophistication.
