40 Minutes of Gameplay Released for Sci-Fi Game Exodus
The creators of Exodus have released 40 minutes of 4K gameplay showcasing a cosmic RPG featuring interstellar travel, political conflicts, and choices that affect the fate of entire communities.
The developers demonstrated a mission to liberate an orbital platform where the protagonist has to fight the forces of his stepbrother.
The demonstration focuses on the “Liberating the Kay” quest on Honshu. A few hours into the story, the main character, Jun, sets out to find parts for interstellar travel. Suliman Tandzin, the head of a powerful dynasty, can help him, but the hero must first complete a dangerous mission.
Honshu is an orbital defense platform protecting Jun’s homeworld, Lydon. The facility was formerly home to a community of sentient frog-like Kay, but the site was seized by the forces of Gideon Aslan, the protagonist’s stepbrother. The player must fight the occupiers and attempt to free the platform.
The developers promise difficult choices that will influence Jun’s development and the future of his homeworld. Interstellar travel, political intrigue, and family conflicts may appeal to Mass Effect fans looking for a new large-scale sci-fi RPG.
