Insomniac Games Job Postings Hint at X-Men Game
Insomniac Games job listings point to multiple playable characters, team mechanics, and mini-boss fights for the studio’s upcoming X-Men game.
Insomniac Games is developing an X-Men game that, according to the studio’s new job listings, will feature multiple playable heroes, team mechanics, and large-scale boss battles.
The project first came to light following a 2023 data leak. Reports at the time indicated that the release could happen around 2030. Now, Insider Gaming has highlighted job postings that reveal potential features of the game.
The studio is looking for a lead hero designer to work on combat systems, traversal, special abilities, and character progression. The job description repeatedly mentions multiple playable heroes, which fits a mutant team with diverse powers.
Insomniac is also hiring combat and gameplay programming specialists. They will work on enemy and ally behavior, mini-bosses, and large-scale battles. The listings separately emphasize the importance of responsive controls, dynamic combat, and world traversal.

Switching between heroes may help diversify the gameplay. However, there has been no official presentation yet, and given the estimated development timeline, the game could potentially launch on the PS6.
