John Gonzales had no complaints about the first season.
In an interview with PC Gamer, Fallout: New Vegas lead writer John Gonzales said he greatly enjoyed the first season: he praised the world’s “delightful complexity” and described Maximus as “an intriguing lens through which to meet the Brotherhood of Steel.” At the same time, the second season stirs mixed emotions for him.
It’s odd to see characters I created appearing in another medium, and yet I’m not credited in the titles nor do I receive any royalties.
He also noted that, even among the most devoted fans, his name is far less recognized than Todd Howard’s or Josh Sawyer’s, despite the fact that Gonzales was instrumental in shaping New Vegas’s world, characters, and narrative.
The second season of the Fallout series premieres on December 17.
