Failed to Take Off: New MOBA-Roguelike Shut Down 39 Days After Full Release
Many players were not impressed by Evercore Heroes Ascension.
The Evercore Heroes Ascension project entered early access in the summer of 2025, and the full release occurred on September 18, 2025. At the end of October, the developers announced the project’s closure.
Representatives of Vela Games explained their decision to shut the project down:
The initial reviews and reception hit us harder than we anticipated, and we were never able to recover. With a small team and limited resources we pushed as hard as we could, but in the end it became clear we could not sustain the game at a stable level.
Evercore Heroes Ascension requires online authentication to launch, and the developers can no longer support the server infrastructure necessary for it — the servers will be taken offline.
Evercore Heroes Ascension was presented as a “roguelike”:
Choose your favorite MOBA-style hero and head into roguelite runs! Overcome deadly trials, collect game-changing upgrades, sync your build for devastating combos, and save Lumerea from corruption!
