Bruce Campbell, the iconic star of the Evil Dead franchise, has taken to social media to disclose that he is battling cancer.
In his announcement, Campbell characterized the condition as “treatable but incurable.”
“I apologize if this news comes as a shock—it was for me as well… I’m sharing this because some professional adjustments are necessary: my appearance, priorities, and career must take a backseat to my treatment. I plan to recover as quickly as possible over the course of the summer,” Campbell shared on X.
Beyond his legendary role as Ash Williams, Campbell’s diverse career includes memorable turns in Fargo, the Marvel blockbuster Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and the hit series Ash vs Evil Dead.
