The visionary minds behind the genre-defying hit Everything Everywhere All at Once, directing duo Dan Kwan and Daniel Scheinert—collectively known as the Daniels—have unveiled fresh details about their highly anticipated next endeavor.
Slated for a November 2027 release under the Universal Pictures banner, the upcoming feature is scheduled to begin principal photography this summer.
“It is going to be a high-octane sci-fi action comedy with a profound emotional core. Very existential—essentially everything you would expect from one of our projects. As the world grows increasingly complex, I believe my role as a storyteller is to help the audience navigate reality as it truly is,”
Kwan remarked in a recent conversation with Collider. Further specifics, such as the official title and casting announcements, are currently being kept under wraps.
The Daniels first garnered critical acclaim for their absurdist cult classic Swiss Army Man. Their 2022 masterpiece, Everything Everywhere All at Once, became a global phenomenon, grossing $143 million at the box office and sweeping the Academy Awards with seven wins, including Best Picture.
