Every Single Pokémon Received a Special Logo for the 30th Anniversary

As Pokémon approaches its landmark third decade, The Pokémon Company is marking the occasion with an ambitious creative undertaking: a bespoke 30th-anniversary logo for every single creature in the franchise. This massive collection spans the entire National Pokédex, encompassing more than 1,000 unique designs that include regional variants and Paradox Pokémon.

In a design choice that mirrors the primary Pikachu anniversary emblem, each logo positions the Pokémon alongside a Poké Ball-inspired “zero,” while the accompanying “three” is aesthetically color-coordinated to match the creature’s specific palette. Joe Merrick of Serebii has already begun the monumental task of cataloging this extensive library, offering fans a comprehensive look at the sheer variety of these celebratory marks.

Social media engagement has already taken off via the Poké Times X account, which distributed a graphic featuring the classic Kanto starters. Fans who interact with the post are being surprised with randomized logos—ranging from fan favorites to the likes of Koffing. Beyond the digital realm, these icons have begun appearing in the physical world, notably transforming public spaces like Osaka’s Namba Station into vibrant tributes to the franchise’s history.

This logo rollout is just the tip of the iceberg for the 30th-anniversary marketing blitz. From a high-profile Super Bowl commercial featuring Lady Gaga and Jigglypuff to the announcement of immersive Pokémon-themed hotel suites in Japan, the momentum is building rapidly. Nostalgia hit a high note with the confirmation that Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen are finally coming to the Nintendo Switch. All eyes are now on the upcoming Pokémon Presents broadcast on February 27, where many expect the first official teases for the next generation of the series.

To celebrate three decades of monster-catching, editorial retrospectives are also in full swing, including comprehensive rankings of every Pokémon generation. While such lists are bound to stir up friendly debate, they highlight the enduring legacy of a franchise that continues to captivate players of all ages.
