With the arrival of the Euro Truck Simulator 2 1.57 update, we’re pleased to unveil a comprehensive refresh of the Scania R & S lineup, bringing the latest Scania engineering and styling into the simulator. Our team has invested significant effort into this release, and we’re excited to show you the improvements — read on to discover what’s new.

Euro Truck Simulator 2 v1.57 — Scania R and S Trucks Update

This update adds an expanded selection of SUPER-series engines, including 420, 460, 500 and 560 hp options. For fans of Scania’s V8 powerplants, we’ve also included the high-output 590, 660 and 770 hp units. Alongside these powerplants, the new Opticruise transmissions — G25, G33, G38 CM and CMR — are available, giving players a realistic mix of efficiency and hauling muscle whether you’re running long-haul motorway jobs or handling heavy, oversized loads.

The cabin receives a focused upgrade with Scania’s Smart Dash and Smart Dash Advanced interiors. Offered in Dark, Light and V8-specific variants, these layouts bring improved instrument clarity and driver-oriented features. Combined with ETS2’s in-cab customization, you can tailor the cockpit to match your driving style and aesthetic preferences.

There are also several new exterior customization items for the R & S series: dedicated SUPER engine badges, distinctive SUPER grille emblems, and exclusive cabin badges for owners of the Mighty Griffin Tuning Pack. Additional options include separated rear light assemblies, front fenders with integrated sensors, and removable rear fender tops to better match real-world builds.

To reflect more realistic configurations, we’ve widened the range of fuel tank capacities across several chassis types:

  • 4×2: 1070 L and 1290 L

  • 6×2: 510 L and 600 L

  • 6×2 Long: 965 L and 1000 L

The update also introduces official Scania SUPER and 770 liveries for compatible trucks and trailers. These paint schemes are modelled on real-world designs and pair perfectly with the new SUPER engines for a cohesive look on the road.
