Emilia Clarke’s “Pony” series canceled after one season

Peacock has officially canceled the spy dramedy “Ponies” after a single season.

Premiering on January 15, 2026, the series starred Emilia Clarke and Haley Lu Richardson as two secretaries working at the U.S. Embassy in 1970s Moscow. After the mysterious deaths of their husbands, they are recruited as CIA operatives. Created by Susanna Fogel and David Iserson, the show’s sudden cancellation came as a surprise to both fans and creators, especially given that the first season concluded on a significant cliffhanger. Despite its abrupt end, “Ponies” earned critical acclaim and festival recognition, with Richardson even securing a nomination for Outstanding Supporting Performance in a Comedy Series at the Gotham Television Awards.

The show’s creators remain optimistic, bidding a temporary farewell to the project.
