Dwayne Johnson to star as a stuntman with dementia
Dwayne Johnson, known for his roles in the Fast & Furious and Jumanji franchises, is set to headline a compelling new drama titled Free Byrd, produced by Ben Affleck and Matt Damon.
Johnson will portray a veteran motorcycle stunt performer struggling to maintain his composure as he battles early-onset dementia. Desperate to keep his condition hidden, he enlists the help of his brother to pull off one final, ambitious stunt project.
The film will be helmed by Oscar-nominated director Greg Kwedar, acclaimed for his work on Sing Sing and Train Dreams. Johnson, who recently showcased his dramatic range in The Smashing Machine, is also slated to appear in Disney’s live-action reimagining of Moana later this summer.
