Dustborn Creators Reveal New “Hello Sunshine” Survival Trailer
Norwegian developer Red Thread Games is gradually unveiling its new project to players.
Publisher Megabit Publishing has released a new trailer for Hello Sunshine — a mysterious survival simulator with RPG elements from the creators of Dustborn. The clip features in-engine sequences and the opening moments of gameplay.
Players will gather resources, craft items, upgrade gear, piece together the history of a fallen world bit by bit, and endure the wastelands — taking refuge from the blazing sun in the shadow of a towering robot. On cold nights they’ll need to stay close to it to avoid freezing.
At first the colossus barely notices the protagonist, but over time it becomes a reliable companion: helping find caches, overcome obstacles, and repel attacks from hostile machines. The robot can be upgraded with sensors, defensive systems, and cosmetic changes — from paint jobs to stickers. The game can be experienced solo or cooperatively with two players.
Hello Sunshine will be released on PC; a launch date has not yet been announced.
