The world premiere of the third “Dune” may take place at the 2026 Venice Film Festival, suggested the festival’s programming director, Alberto Barbera.
“Denis [Villeneuve, the film’s director] has just finished shooting. The movie is due in cinemas next autumn, so that’s certainly possible,” Barbera told Variety.
Warner Bros. has officially slated “Dune 3” for release on December 18, 2026. The film features Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Florence Pugh, Robert Pattinson, Anya Taylor‑Joy and others.
The first “Dune” premiered in Venice in the autumn of 2021. The next festival will take place from September 2 to 12.
