DreamWorks’ “The Wild Robot” receives rave reviews from critics

DreamWorks Animation’s latest feature, “The Wild Robot,” has achieved a perfect 100% “fresh” rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

Critics have lauded the film as a “dazzling and dynamic” experience, describing it as a “joyful, hilarious,” and deeply poignant exploration of friendship and the “significance of the shared memories we forge with those we hold dear.” Reviewers have also drawn favorable comparisons between the movie and the celebrated works of Studio Ghibli, as well as Sony’s acclaimed Spider-Verse duology.

“The Wild Robot” follows the journey of two Filipino best friends, Jo and Raissa, who find themselves stranded on the mysterious island of Nakali, a realm where ancient legends and magic collide. To secure their path home, the protagonists are faced with an impossible choice: they must sacrifice their most precious possession—their own memories.

The film was directed by the creative team of Joel Crawford and Hanuiel Mercado, known for their work on “Puss in Boots: The Last Wish.” The voice cast features performances by H.E.R., Dave Franco, Jenny Slate, and others. International audiences can look forward to the theatrical release of “The Wild Robot” on September 25.
