Does Street Fighter Have a Post-Credits Scene

Capcom and Legendary’s highly anticipated Street Fighter movie has arrived in theaters, giving the fighting game franchise its third major live-action Hollywood adaptation. Director Kitao Sakurai’s action-packed adaptation of the Street Fighter series jams a lot into one film. It features all of Street Fighter 2‘s World Warriors, plus a few characters from the original Street Fighter game and the Alpha sub-franchise, in a contest of champions. With dozens of Street Fighter games released across nearly 40 years of lore, the opportunity for sequels and spinoffs remains constant.

The 2026 release concludes on a high note, but it also leaves many questions about the fate of certain fighters unresolved. The mid-credits scene calls back to the opening sequence of the film, when Ryu battled his rival Sagat in the first World Warrior Tournament. Like that introductory sequence, the mid-credits stinger is rendered in animation rather than live-action.

Instead of serving as a flashback, the sequence looks forward. Muay Thai martial artist Sagat trains with intense focus, furiously kicking tree trunks with his shins. M. Bison appears, fully powered by Psycho Power energy, with underlings Cammy, Balrog, and Vega.

The implication is that Bison plans to recruit Sagat to his cause for a third World Warrior Tournament, which would likely be explored in a sequel. That development depends on how the movie performs at the box office.

Does Street Fighter have a mid-credits scene?

Yes, viewers should stick around. Sagat is an important figure in the original Street Fighter game and its successor. In the first arcade game released in 1987, Sagat serves as the final opponent and is known as the Emperor of Muay Thai. In Street Fighter 2, released in 1991, Sagat serves as Bison’s bodyguard and is one of the final opponents players face in arcade mode. In the game lore, Sagat seeks revenge on Ryu for permanently scarring him with a shoryuken during their first fight.
