Dispatch, an episodic superhero narrative adventure, has quickly become a critical darling following the release of its opening pair of episodes on October 22, 2025. Developer AdHoc Studios reports that the game exceeded one million copies sold within its first ten days on sale — a striking early commercial achievement.

The game stars Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad) as a down-on-his-luck former hero who now coordinates missions for rehabilitated supervillains. Crafted by writers who cut their teeth at Telltale Games, Dispatch emphasizes choice-driven storytelling across an eight-episode arc. Episodes 5 and 6 have already rolled out, and new installments continue to arrive on Wednesdays. Critics and audiences alike have praised the title’s writing, character work, and voice performances from talents such as Laura Bailey, Jeffrey Wright, and Erin Yvette, while creators and streamers including Jacksepticeye, Joel Haver, and MoistCr1TiKaL have amplified its reach. Those accolades are reflected in a strong 93% critical rating on Metacritic, which the studio’s sales figures now complement.

AdHoc’s CEO and executive producer, Michael Choung, described the milestone as proof that there’s an appetite for original, story-first episodic games. In a press statement he noted that the strong early reception will help the studio fund future narrative projects and make it easier for other small developers to pursue similar, story-focused ideas.

Dispatch is available now for PlayStation 5 and PC, priced at $29.99. For more on Aaron Paul’s approach to the role and his experience performing as Robert Robertson, read our interview with Aaron Paul.
