Disney+ to Reboot Darkwing Duck Animated Series
The iconic animated series “Darkwing Duck” is set for a revival on the Disney+ streaming platform, according to reports from Variety.
Originally airing in the 1990s, the series followed the adventures of the titular masked vigilante, Darkwing Duck (secretly Drake Mallard). This upcoming reboot finds the hero having spent 35 years trapped in an alternate dimension where his heroic legacy remained unrecognized. Now, he must team up with a young teenage sidekick named Ducky to embark on a quest to save the universe.
Mark Hamill (“Star Wars”) is slated to voice the lead character. The star-studded cast also features Seth Rogen, Lizzy Caplan, Dan Stevens, and others. An official release date has yet to be announced.
