Diablo II: Resurrected Broke — Blizzard Fixed Diablo and Item Identification

Developers have begun rolling out fixes following the launch of the Reign of the Warlock DLC.

Following the recent debut of the Reign of the Warlock expansion for Diablo II: Resurrected, players diving into the new content quickly encountered a series of technical hurdles.

At one point, Blizzard issued a warning advising players to stop identifying set and unique items. A critical system glitch was causing the “Chronicle”—a feature that tracks a player’s item history—to be completely wiped.

In response, patch 3.1.1 has been released for Diablo II: Resurrected to address these stability concerns and refine the experience. The update includes the following fixes:

  • Resolved an issue where Diablo’s lightning breath would hit characters positioned directly in front of him.
  • Fixed a bug where browsing the available games list while using a keyboard and mouse could cause the client to crash.
  • Addressed a UI overlap issue occurring on handheld devices when utilizing mouse and keyboard inputs.
  • Fixed a bug that prevented the “Mosaic” runeword from being crafted during non-ladder online play.
  • Corrected several issues causing the game client to hang or freeze periodically.
