Heather Graham, who has joined the cast of the latest adaptation of Stephen King’s “Carrie,” has offered fresh insights into the upcoming series. According to Graham, showrunner Mike Flanagan intends to significantly expand upon the original novel’s narrative, suggesting the story could potentially extend into a second season.
Her comments align with those of co-star Matthew Lillard, who previously noted that this iteration will depart drastically from Brian De Palma’s iconic film and all subsequent versions.
While the project promises a new perspective, the core premise remains: a marginalized teenager named Carrie, tormented by her peers, discovers she possesses latent telekinetic abilities that eventually lead to a devastating catastrophe.
The series is currently slated for a premiere in October 2026.
