Details of the “It Follows” sequel revealed

New details have emerged regarding the plot of They Follow, the highly anticipated sequel to the 2014 cult horror hit It Follows.

Maika Monroe is set to reprise her role from the original film, joined by Naomi Ackie (known for Mickey 17 and Blink Twice). David Robert Mitchell will return to the director’s chair for the project, which picks up the narrative a decade after the events of the first installment.

Production is scheduled to commence this summer, with a projected theatrical release in 2027. The original It Follows centered on Jay (Monroe), a college student haunted by terrifying visions and the constant sensation of being stalked following a sexual encounter. The film was a critical and commercial success, grossing over $20 million against a modest $1.3 million budget.
