Despite setbacks, Sony remains committed to live-service games

Sony Interactive Entertainment president Hideaki Nishino confirmed that the company remains committed to live-service games. Despite the commercial failure of Concord, Sony plans to continue developing these titles through both internal studios and external partners.

Nishino discussed this strategy in an interview with Famitsu. He explained that Sony intends to keep investing in the live-service model regardless of recent setbacks.

Network-based projects will continue to launch on PC. Nishino noted that the company only restricts simultaneous PC releases for their single-player titles.

These statements clarify that Sony is not altering its broader business strategy. The firm will maintain its focus on expanding its catalog of online service games.
